I am married for a 1.5 year. Me and my husband are in long distance relationship which i do not like. He has gone to other country for job.I live with my in laws .I feel alone. Recently i had a miscarriage, since then i am depressed so much. I ask my husband to come soon.I can’t live like this.he calls me mad if i complain. Am i sinful if i dont talk to him?

I have received a proposal which is currently under discussion. All the terms are fine between both families. But the problem is that I wear naqaab from my non-maharim like my brother in law. The proposed guy has 4 brothers and they live together in joint family system. So they have asked to observe hijab at home but not to cover the face from his brothers.

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all and such a proposal is not a good one and it would make you compromise your religion in the future bit by bit and impact your Iman.

My husband is very rich but he doesn’t give me money other than for what we eat and dress so whenever I want to help my parents financially he is not happy so I decided to put money together from what he gives me for our monthly house allowance and help them whenever they need my help and I also give sadaqa from that money without him knowing so I was wondering if what I am doing is haram or not?

ANSWER: What you are doing is totally prohibited. It’s not permissible for you to spend his money on anything else other than what he has given it to you for, whether it be giving it to your parents or in charity, both are not permissible.

If some matters were discussed and agreed upon verbally while deciding to marry a man/woman, but they were not physically written down in the Nikah contract. Do those conditions have to be fulfilled as nikah conditions by the husband/wife?

ANSWER: If he has committed himself and accepted such conditions, he must honor them even if they were not written because the prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam had said: the Muslims are bound by the conditions.

Recently I got a proposal from a boy. He has good character, namazi & has a decent job. My family was very happy with proposal. But we came to know that they are involved in shirk. I don’t have a relationship with my father and i have no other male relatives besides my younger brother. When i am getting to know someone for marriage would it be ok with just my mum being there acting as a wali or could my younger brother be there. He is 4 years younger than me but he has passed the age of puberty.

ANSWER: It’s not permissible at all for your mother to sit there as she’s a non mahram to the guy and a woman cannot be a wali! Your brother must sit there after you get your father’s consent to do so. It is not acceptable not to have relationships with your father.

Is it permissible to have more than one meeting with the potential suitor like 2/3/4 (in front of the male mahram)? What is maximum number ? If it is just one meeting that is permissible then how much lengthy at maximum can the meeting be (i mean permissible) ? Like how many hours?

ANSWER: Only one meeting is permissible. The essence of the meeting is to look at one another to see if there is mutual liking or not. This happens in the 1st meeting only.

My husbnd is not replyng to WhatsApp msgs since Eid (anthr country). My 5 yr son asks 4 video call wd him. I called n he didn’t pickup. He didn’t ask again.
