QUESTION: If a husband inserts his finger into his wife’s vagina (to the point she is satisfied) while she is menstruating, is this haram? If it is haram, and he did it without knowing that it was prohibited, is there any kaffarah required, or is sincere tawbah sufficient?

ANSWER: Its not permissible to touch her private part when she is bleeding because the menstrual blood is najis. He should repent to Allah and not do it again. There is no kaffarah for this.

QUESTION: Durning my post-natal bleeding I saw purity on 33th day. After few days I started colour discharge. I pray no matter what. But on 39th day I had small amount of blood flow in morning whole day only brown discharge. I stop praying.On 40th day I went for gocol but I saw flow that look like my menses blood and i got period cramp few days ago. I Don’t take gocol and not pray. What I do is correct?

ANSWER: As long as it is only few prayers, you should repeat them just to be safe.

QUESTION: I am very worried about one issue. I had to start working, and each month, on one of the days, the end of my hayd might occur while I am at work. There is no shower there, I cannot ask for time off, and even if I could, it is a very long way home, and the prayer times might pass. Can I perform tayammum at work and pray, and then perform ghusl when I get home?

QUESTION: If we want to fast the 6 days of shawwal we have to complete the missed fasts of Ramadan so my question is my 3 fasts were missed due to periods but I got my periods 3-4 minutes before iftar so do I have to count that fast also and complete 6 fast shawwal + 4 fast of missed fast Or I have to keep 3 fasts that were missed with 6 fasts of shawwal

ANSWER: If the period comes even a few seconds before Maghrib, your fast of that day is not valid and you must make it up

QUESTION: I had read the Quran up to the 9th para, then I got my periods. I continued reading from the 10th para on my mobile because I could not touch the Quran. QUESTION: I experience spotting before my periods. For example, At Maghrib time I had discharge so I wash and change my pad, take wudu and pray. At Isha time there was no discharge so I proceed to pray. Then while praying I feel discharge. I cannot be certain of what it is untill I look. What is the correct procedure for this regarding my salah?

ANSWER: If you check immediately after prayers and see spotting, you need to clean yourself, renew your wudhu and repeat that prayer.
