QUESTION: Is it permissible for a husband to divorce his wife if she financially supports her parents that too from her own earnings? My husband divorced me over this, demanding receipts of my account. I managed my expenses independently & never asked financial support from him. ANSWER: After divorce the man is not obliged at all to provide for his ex wife! As for his children, it’s solely his responsibility to take care of all the financial needs of his children even if they don’t live with him.
