QUESTION: I’m attending a fiqh class where the sheikh also discusses aqeedah. He says Allah is not in the sky or on the throne, and such beliefs could lead to kufr. According to him, Allah isn’t in a geographical position, as He doesn’t resemble His creation. This differs from Ahl al-Sunnah’s aqeedah. I’m unsure if I should continue, and I also invited a revert. Should I stop attending and advise her too?

QUESTION: I was wondering as a non-Muslim, and someone who is not familiar to Islam, is there a certain order in which to read the Surahs? Or may I read the Quran from start to finish and be able to comprehend the revelations of Muhammad? Also is there an English translation that you recommend?

ANSWER: There is no specific order to read the chapters of the Quran as it is all guidance from Allah no matter where you read it from. Saheeh international translation is one of the best.

QUESTION: Is there any udhr for men to not lower their gaze from a woman, other than marriage? I sometimes see that du’aat look at them when clarifying their question, or when women take the shahadah with them. Please clarify my confusion

ANSWER: This is not permissible. Men are ordered to lower their gaze to any woman who is non mahram to him. I would also advise you to mind your own business as you are as guilty as they are! How did you know that they were looking at these women if you yourself weren’t?
