QUESTION: If my family usually free mixes but my sister manages to segregate between men and women at her house. But knowing there is still a chance that people won’t comply and freely mix, what is the ruling ong that?

ANSWER: One should avoid going in such gathering or arrange it! There is zero tolerance in this. Either they comply or not go.

QUESTION: Can I touch old women for helping them like to walk etc… And kindly give the evidence.

ANSWER: This is not permissible unless its an emergency and no one else is there to help. Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said its better to be stabbed in the head by an iron needle than to touch a non mehram woman.

QUESTION: Are step siblings and step parents Mahram?

ANSWER: A step parent is someone married to your father or mother and they are your mahram A step sibling is not related to you via your father or mother and hence he/she are non mahram to you

QUESTION: I have family that live on the other side of the planet and i meet them once in a blue moon. When i do meet them it is in a mixed gathering (all my mahrams but not mahrams to each other) Can i sit in this gathering because this is the only time i get to meet them.

QUESTION: You might know in our country the elder men place their hand on females head when greeting. Is it permissible for non-mehram or mehram to do so? If not how should I respectfully stop them

QUESTION: If my sister is doing home tution and I am also there studying. If I go to drink water or to pray salah then will i be sinful to leave her with non mahram

ANSWER: If the non mahram are with her in the same room physically, this is not permissible with you present and surely this is double not permissible with you gone out of the room!
