QUESTION: Yesterday my father and mother got into an argument and my father began hitting my mother. To stop him i pushed him away from her and held his hands so he couldn’t hit her. I don’t know if I hurt him and it wasn’t my intention to. I didn’t strike him, but I did look at him with anger. Is what I did sinful?

ANSWER: Yes You should have shielded your mother so that she wouldn’t get hit, but have no right to hold his hands like this or look at him with anger!

QUESTION: My dad invested wd a friend, business went to loss for both of them but his friend asked fr money & its not easy for me to pay bec im the only earner. ANSWER: You’re not sinful if he’s the one who takes it on interest. You must not sign any interest loan documents.

QUESTION: My father refuses to work. And he refused for years, since his late 40s, though he had chances to work from home. He is asking me and my brother to work and help him keep the family. My brother who is 24 is at uni and I’m 21 and trying to get a career which will take a while. I feel lots of pressure and like he’s putting his burden on us. I don’t know how to act. Advice?

ANSWER: Parents are sinful for this & children must not obey their parents in this regard as there’s no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of displeasing and disobedience to Allah

QUESTION: I will be marrid soon with a divorce girl. Mom & I have requested my sisters and her husbands to keep it secret from my extended family members about her being divorced and other matter related to her. ANSWER: There is no sin in telling the truth and you should be man enough to accept this and not be ashamed of it! If you are not man enough and you are ashamed of it, don’t marry her!!

ANSWER: This is your father’s fault for supporting him and providing for him while he is not manning up to his responsibilities. You must advise him with good manners, wisdom, knowledge and diplomacy and make a lot of dua in the sujood of your prayers for Allah to guide him.

QUESTION: While counting eidi, i had Rs 4650 while my younger sister had around Rs 8000. to balance our eidi my mom made her give me Rs2000 and she did it willingly i did not ask her. is that 2000 halal for me?
