QUESTION: Before I reverted to islam i cheated and travelled by buses or trains without a ticket. Also i stole some of less valuable products such as ice creams or sweets. Am i obliged to return the money to those stolen or cheated? It is happened long time ago. I also live in non-muslim country and no one asked me to return. I dont’t know what to do, returning would put me in bad light

ANSWER: If you stole money, you must return it to the owners even if you had stolen it before Islam as Islam erases the sins but not the rights of others. If you don’t know them, give the equivalent in charity.

QUESTION: Is making dua for others both Muslim and non muslims rewardable for ourself too? Like if we make dua for guidance of a non Muslim or Muslim.

ANSWER: No problem in teaching him. He doesn’t need to revert to learn the Quran. You can give him the Quran in his native language for him to be able to read himself.

QUESTION: I was texting a chinese producer on ali baba to buy some stuff to sell in my country and one time the seller couldnt provide me a document since he wasnt at work so i said no problem and then the seller sent me a emoji of someone bowing as a way of saying thanks. am i sinful if i just ignore this emoji because i dont really know how to explain to him that he shouldnt send me something like that

QUESTION: So basically I know birthday parties are Haram but my freind is having a birthday party like a week AFTER her birthday. It’s just a treat where she gives a high tea as a treat and she cuts cake that’s all that goes on. Last time there was a little music. But is it permissable for me to go.
