QUESTION: My daughters school teacher oblige them to pray dhuhr prayer in congregation at their school.They keep on changing their imam and the imam is also a child.The imam sometimes makes some mistakes which surely invalidates prayer.In this case can my daughter pray again at home after praying with them?

ANSWER: What are those mistakes? If its just your assumption then no, she should not repeat the prayer.

QUESTION: I gave zakat to a friend in Bangladesh to distribute. He stated he used some of it to build a hand pump for people in a village who have to work miles for water. Is this allowed? I did not ask for this or have my name on pump

ANSWER: This is not permissible and the zakat is not valid. This would be considered as voluntary charity and you must pay that much amount again to complete your zakat money. Zakat should be given in cash to poor & needy Muslims in their hands for them to do whatever they want with it.

QUESTION: If I cant make the 1st jumuah, and for the 2nd jumuah the khatib extends the khutbah until a few minutes after dhuhr time or right at the end, is the jumah valid? I think hes a hanafi so he thinks dhuhr ends later. Im not sure i’m just speculating. What should I do

ANSWER: No, it is not valid.

QUESTION: If I pray with the imam from the beginning but in the 3 rakah I recite fatiha too slow. So while he rises from bowing I still didn’t finish. I finish fatiha, bow, rise up and follow him for the rest. Is my prayer valid or must I repeat it.

ANSWER: If you are the one who is too slow and miss the imam then you must repeat the prayer & must be careful from next time.

QUESTION: Is delaying isha Sunnah? what if one dies during the time of Ishaa and he dies before praying it due to delaying it?

ANSWER: Isha prayer has a beginning and it has an end. Whoever dies in between is not sinful or accountable as this time was given to him by Allah! Otherwise, everyone even in masjid must pray the moment the athan is given without delaying it one second!

ANSWER: Both are from the sunnah.

QUESTION: In my second raka I thought I did two sujood but after starting to recite the tashahhud I realised that I only did one sujood and went for the second sujood. In this case should I have performed sujood as-sahu as I said the tashahhud in the wrong place?

QUESTION: As a man living in Bangladesh even if I am able to see the sky to calculate salat times but don’t beacuse I don’t understand it properly or have chances of making mistakes or feel hassle then should I follow the adhan or umm al qura app for for both home and congregational masjid salats timings?

ANSWER: Follow salafi, ahle hadees masjid’s prayer times, if its not available in your vicinity then follow umm al qura app for all 4 prayers and for isha follow University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi
