QUESTION: My legal name is “Muhammad S—–“. I struggle to find housing in Germany and am advised to drop “Muhammad” on applications due to bias. I feel hesitant because my name honors the Prophet (ﷺ) and Allah controls rizq. Is keeping my full name right, or should I adapt for worldly reasons?

ANSWER: No problem in dropping your first name if its actually not possible to get a house. The best would be to enter your name in the application and have complete faith & reliance on Allah but its not sinful to drop it due to necessity.

QUESTION: Sheikh if someone does a sunnah or good deed act without knowing, does it still count or is the intention to do it necessary?
