ANSWER: If he had agreed to you studying and doing a halal job after marriage and this was stipulated in the marriage contract, he cannot go back on his word! If he does, you have the option to ask for divorce

QUESTION: If a man commits zina because his wife doesn’t accept him marrying a second wife, and threatens to take khula, take custody of the children etc. Then is the wife also sinful and takes share in the sin of zina?

ANSWER: Your father has no right, NONE WHATSOEVER on your wife or what she does and where she goes etc as long as she has your consent.

QUESTION: Me and my wife are living in a joint family with my parents. They are very nice to her but very restrictive. We need their permission for things like going out or visiting my wifes parents etc. We want to live seperately but I cannot tell my parents this because they will get offended. ANSWER: No you will not be sinful as these things are voluntary and not mandatory such as prayer and hijab. However try to deal with her with love and in a diplomatic way so that she does not get offended when you remind her.

QUESTION: We have no home.we plan to sell gold of my wife & my mom to buy a home along with few money from me and dad.My wife is willingly ready to give her mahr for this purpose.Ive not forced her although ive proposed this idea to her & she is 100% willing as home is better then having gold. ANSWER: You must either write a document stating how much gold she gave which is a debt upon you to her if you were to divorce or die or you write in the deed that she owns 20% for example of the house so that her rights won’t be wasted.

QUESTION: My father has no feeling of ghairah towards my mother , he always puts my my mother in every outisde work, he did not want to go out for any work, and he has no problem when my mom talks to non mehram men, this behaviour of him annoys and irritates me , what can i do in this case.

ANSWER: Advise her to sit at home so that he can man up and take care of his responsibilities. She is not obliged to provide for the household as that is his job. You can be the man of the house, work and earn and make your mom sit home and not work.

QUESTION: Sheikh I heard from some women’s that if a womens husband touches her feet or give her a foot massage even by his own will and nobody forced him or at any circumstances the women will get sin no matter what. Is this true??
