I read a Hadith about the prophets thobe being no longer than mid-calf. If one is in a Muslim country will the be rewarded if he wears the thobe mid-calf like the sunnah or not because it isn’t the norm for people here to have it that high.

ANSWER: Such a sunnah at our times would draw unwanted attention to the individual and would probably backfire in many ways. It would be wise not to do it as it would be a dress of fame.

When two people are praying, during the tashahhud the third person joins, should the person who is praying with imam get up from tashahhud and walk back to join the third person and sit again?

ANSWER: He must not move while in the sitting position but rather remain sitting until he stands for the following rakah, then he walks back.

If after wudhu wind passes, should we make complere wudhu with astanja or onl wudhu without astanja is enough

ANSWER: It is prohibited to make istinja after passing wind as this is only done by the shia!

For someone who recites the Fatihah silently behind the Imaam, even in loud Rakahs, is it okay for him to finish before the Imam finishes reciting the Fatihah, or should he recite with the same pace as the Imaam?

ANSWER: In silent rakah, there is no problem in finishing it before your imam as you don’t know where he is reciting. In loud rakah, you are not allowed to start reciting it until he finishes it.

Is it Sunnah to read the Quran while facing the Qiblah?

ANSWER: It is recommended to face the qibla while reciting the Quran but it is not mandatory.

Sometimes while I’m praying my mom or someone from home calls for me, so is it permissible to respond by saying a word from my praying louder for example Allahu akbar or a word from surah I’m reading in order the caller knows that I’m praying?

ANSWER: No problem in selling it for muslim weddings but its not permissible to sell them specifically for birthdays, baby showers or any other haram events.

Before starting menses I was reciting Quran on my mushaf, however when I started menses I carried on reciting from where I left off but on my smartphone. Intention is to complete the whole Quran in Arabic. Would this method of reciting some on my mushaf and some on my smartphone have the same reward as completing the whole mushaf?

ANSWER: Yes, in sha Allaah, the reward is the same.

If a woman applies perfume and goes out and non mahram men smell it, so she like a fornicator, does she has to perform Ghusl to ‘wash off’ her sin as if she is impure after adultery?

ANSWER: There is a hadeeth where abu hurairah May Allah be pleased with him ordered a woman not to go to the masjid wearing her perfume until she takes ghusul as Allah will not accept her prayers. Some scholars say that this is mandatory and others say that this is recommended.

ANSWER: Loving one’s country is permissible. Liking his countrymen is also permissible but what is not permissible is aiding them and preferring them over Muslims.
