QUESTION: Can Muslim business owners use christmas and other non muslim festivals and activities like valentines, halloween to advertise those events and give special offers etc., to gain more business. Can they sell items special to those activities?

QUESTION: Sheikh, if during prayer one’s nose is slightly runny and he wipe it with his sleeve, does it invalidate his wudu and prayer?since it may be impure.

ANSWER: It is pure and this has no impact on his wudhu He should wipe it with a napkin or tissues.

QUESTION: Can a Muslim lady show her body parts to non mahram male doctor, is this permissable for her or not….

ANSWER: It is permissible for a male doctor to treat a female patient due to necessity providing that she is not alone with him and he only looks and touches the area needed.

QUESTION: Is it allowed to differentiate among one’s kid as Yaqoob (pbuh) did. He loved his two sons ( Yusuf pbuh and Bin Yameen) more than others, that’s why other siblings became jealous.

ANSWER: 1- Love is in the heart and one has no control over it. What is not permissible is to differentiate in treatment.

QUESTION: Sheikh I am aware you must reply to one’s salam but on my way to work there are a group of muslim men who always say “selam aleykum” in a form of catcalling and giggle about it making me uncomfortable must I reply back to them?
