Sheikh, my parents are strict hanafis and want evidence where Abu hanifa said to follow the sunnah rather than his viewpoint when they conflict.

ANSWER: Any Muslim giving precedence to people’s views over the prophet’s sunnah salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, such a person’s Islam is questionable! How can your parents claim to be Muslim when they refuse to follow the prophet’s commands and prefer to follow Abu Hanifa or even Abu Bakr and Omer’s opinions?

The duas which the prophet taught us, are they part of the divine revelation?

ANSWER: Whatever the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam had taught us, this is from Allah as mentioned in the Quran: Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed,

A man who, whenever he ask wife for sex but accepts it if she asks to wait for another time, out of desire to not cause discomfort for her, & only has sex if she’s ‘in the mood’. From Islam’s perspective, do we praise this man for being considerate to wife’s feeling or do we say he should not do this as it may give bad encouragement to wife (eg it may end up that she keeps doing this)?

ANSWER: He is rewarded for being considerate providing this doesn’t harm him.

Sheikh, is it Mandatory to enter the Masjid with right foot first and then the left foot next? And leaving with the left foot first and then the right foot next? And also what is the Du’a to be said when entering the Masjid and when leaving the Masjid?

ANSWER: This is the sunnah. The authentic duaa is to say: bismillah, Allahumma salli Ala Mohammed, allahumma iftahli Abwab rahmatic when entering and something similar to that when exiting.

If father doesn’t feel disrespected from something i did, which could be disrespectful islamically or in some cultures, am i sinful? For example he is backbiting and i try to defend someone or stop him from backbiting but he continues so i take a deep breath as if im frustrated etc.

ANSWER: Do not take a deep breath as this is like saying uff.

If one has cold water and hot water in winter to make wudu and chose cold thinking to bring near Allāh. This is putting burden and being extreme as said by Ulama.

ANSWER: One must not fast one or two days before Ramadan.

Sheikh if the relatives are talking bad about us behind the back as i got to know from my cousins and they too were involved in that talking with them which they came to me and said sorry for the talkings and the other cousins are sweet with me. How to deal with them when they come and talk to me?

ANSWER: Do not believe what they had said and conveyed to you about others talking behind your back as this is against the instruction of Allah. Deal with them normally and with good behavior as Allah will hold them accountable for their actions and He will reward you for your patience and tolerance.

Can we do tawassul with the same good deed for more than once? eg: if i ask Allah by mentioning a good deed of mine, can i use the same good deed as tawassul in my du’a again?
