QUESTION: Me and my wife are due to move into our new house soon. My wife has a money saved and we agreed to use that money for refurbishment before moving in. However, my wifes parents are about to buy a new house and have asked my wife for her savings (as a loan). I told her not to. As we need it. Does she need to listen to me?

ANSWER: Absolutely not! Her money is hers only and she is not obliged to give you a penny of it. It is a man’s job to provide for his wife, NOT the other way around.

QUESTION: Living in a Hanafi-majority country, finding a suitor from Ahl e Sunnah wal Jama’ah is challenging. I may encounter pious Hanafi women who don’t share the same aqidah. Should I focus solely on searching for women with correct aqidah, or is it permissible to consider these pious Hanafi women for marriage?

QUESTION: My husband doesn’t like me to call my sisters or them to call me. He is saying they are no longer my siblings and his siblings are now my relatives. He is telling me once in every week go to his parents to stay. I do not like this. Am i sinful if i refuse to go to my inlaws every week?

ANSWER: No, you’re not sinful for not wanting to go! He’s totally wrong in demanding this from you as they’re not your relatives (kinship)! Your own siblings are your siblings for life and nothing can change this and his siblings or parents can’t be compared to yours!

QUESTION: I’m nikahfied and I’m not live with my husband. I live in my mother house because ruksati has not happened yet. Can I go with my husband to Ummrah? If I can, then I need anyone permission like mother or father?

ANSWER: You can go as he’s your husband but you would need your father’s permission as you’re still living under his roof.

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and the marriage would be invalid, you would be living in zina and the children born would be illegitimate as a Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim man!

ANSWER: You are all in great danger as the Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa sallam warned that those who sever ties of kinship will not be admitted to paradise. Failing to communicate with one another and having hearts filled with arrogance and resentment surely fits the description of “severing ties of kinship” like a glove.

QUESTION: I want to marry a guy but my parents are not agree because he belongs to karachi and i am from islambad. And distance is alot b/w two cities. And secondly he does not earn yet. But Allah says if you like someone marry them and Allah will make them ghani (rich) . Isnt it wrong to just reject it because of just these reasons?

ANSWER: Your father has all the right to reject whomever he does not see fit for his daughter and any marriage without his consent is considered void therefore, you must try to convince him or move on with your life.
