ANSWER: This is not permissible as it is not befitting a Muslimah to offer herself to a strange man in marriage. Her wali or guardian should do this job.

ANSWER: If a woman was divorced or widowed while pregnant and then she gives birth, she can marry immediately after giving birth as her iddah is over.

ANSWER: Your husband must cover your necessary needs, you don’t have to work. But if he allows you to work and the job is halal with no free mixing, this is permissible but it doesn’t relieve him from the obligation to provide for you.

I got a proposal for marriage from some1 i knw,He is a buisness man works in a halal way but he is less educated than me.I am afraid if my parents will accept him or refuse his proposal based on his education level.My question to u is,If i being more educated than him will effect the marriage?Please guide me to this situation on what basis i shall choose.

Sheikh, is it permissible to use all these matrimony websites that claim to be Muslim match making sites? What is the ruling for displaying pictures and putting oneself out there. Marriage has become difficult these days.

ANSWER: It’s permissible if these are muslim matrimonial websites that work according to sharia, like no exchange of female photos and no meeting between potential suitors without the girl’s male mahram and no private chatting between potential suitors etc.
