QUESTION: My husband gives sadqa (charity) from his salary not only for his parents, wife, and children but also for all his sisters’ children. However, this leaves him with insufficient money to run our household. Is this correct according to Islam? Please explain with reference to the Quran and Hadith.

ANSWER: No, he is accountable for providing for his wife and children as his priority and is sinful for neglecting them He should first fulfill obligations, then give extra charity if he can.

QUESTION: Is it permissible to give something non-essential from the house if the wife knows in advance that the husband will not object to it?

ANSWER: You must destroy such pictures of you so they are unable to send it. You must not obey them in such haram.

ANSWER: You require your wali’s consent who is your paternal grandfather. If he is not alive, then your brother. If you don’t have one, then it is your paternal uncle and if you don’t have any, then your paternal cousin.

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible! Not praying fajr is a major sin unless he is unable to wake up. Forsaking him in bed and depriving him from his rights is a greater major sin that all the angels will curse her all night long until fajr time and this is every night!
