ANSWER: This is not permissible. When giving gifts, all children must be given equally. Allowance and other needs should be given according to their needs and age.

Sheikh, in our community sometimes people have multiple children and during his lifetime he has to spend significant amount of extra money for one or two children for education, giving business support etc. Now when he is old/feeling deathbed he wants to will the other child/children liitle more than those from his property. Is this practice compatible with Islamic rules?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. There’s no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of disobedience to Allah.

I am a revert. My parents have doubt about this and they told me that they disown me if I continue practicing Islam. Now I pray and fast without their knowledge and I hide everything from them. Is this wrong since I’m not being truthful about my religion?
