QUESTION: Sheikh, I’ve heard that eating haram food makes it so that dua is rejected for 40 days. Is this true?

ANSWER: No.

QUESTION: I hv alwys seen my fathr pay my mothr’s gold zakat diligently. I didn’t knw b4 dt wife is sinful. My hsbnd hs paid zakat 4 last fw yrs. Ds yr i kept remnding him. Nw he tells me he forgot d weight of gold at my home. 4 days left in Eid. No time to sell n give all zakat. My deadline is Eid. Cn u suggest a solution? I don’t want 2 be sinful. ANSWER: No problem if the husband gives his wife’s zakat out of love and compassion (when she authorises him). If he’s not going to pay it on your behalf, you must pay it immediately by selling some of the gold if you don’t have cash. Few days after eid won’t matter.

QUESTION: During Taraweeh at the mosque. Is it permissible for me to read Quran or follow the imam using my phone. If yes, is it permissible to read the translation aswell to better understand the meaning of the Quran you are hearing?

QUESTION: I know generally speaking that sujud tilawah is voluntary. But are there specific points of sujud in the Qur’an where the Sujud must compulsorily be performed when one reaches it?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as the fitna of being alone in a strange land is far grater than being with your parents and family in a Kafir land.

QUESTION: Sheikh as we know sleeping in the state of wuduh has its own reward so are supposed to renew our wuduh while going to sleep even if we are in the state of wuduh or it will just be enough being on the state of wuduh like if we did make wuduh for isha prayer and sleep with that wuduh without renewing will it be enough for the reward.

ANSWER: No need to renew the wudu as long as you’re already in the state of wudu.

QUESTION: I’m a Muslima from a Shia family and I practice sunnah (my family is against it) and I want to get married to this man who’s a practicing Muslim but his African. And their only reasoning for not agreeing with the marriage is that his black and think it will ruin their reputation. QUESTION: I hope you’re doing well sheikh. Some people say that we have to make wudhu before making a dua, dhikr or even reading the Quran.. is this true?

ANSWER: Wudu is not required to make dua or dhikr. Wudu is mandatory when you touch the Quran but you can recite looking in the phone or from memory without wudu.

QUESTION: I have heard that every person has a Jinn who whispers evil thoughts to him/her, influencing them towards evil and distraction in worship. I want to know whether it is permissible to make dua for my Jinn to become a muslim, as I heard the prophet (peace be upon him) narrated that his Jinn became a muslim. So should I make dua for my Jinn to be guided to Islam and stop annoying me?
