ANSWER:

No problem if a brother gets married before his sister is married. He is not obliged to wait or to obey his mother in such illogical reason. If he is financially independent, he should go ahead and get married. 

QUESTION: My brother, 1 year older wishes to get married. But since I’m the sister and due for marriage for sum tym, my mom refuses to see/accept the person he wishes to marry, lest it lessens my chance. He worries that mum’s refusal may deter the girl’s family from marrying the girl to my brother. What should be done?
