If you are referring to Bahrain, the country, there isn’t to my knowledge any reference of such a thing in the Quran.

Don’t occupy yourself with his coming. Islamically speaking, you are instructed to obey your Imam and Islamic leader whether he is the Mahdi or not as long as he is not instructing you to sin.

It is not mandatory but it is extremely recommended. It is mandatory for you to learn what is essential for you to perform your forms of worship.
