I recommend that you focus on mastering Arabic and then studying the tafseer of the Quran and reading a lot of Sheikh Ibn Othaimeen Fatwas as this would increase your knowledge until you can study structured knowledge with a proper student of knowledge or a good teacher.

A non mahram is anyone who can marry a girl. The mahrams are: the father, brother, son, uncle, nephew etc.
