My father’s parents didn’t divide the property according to sharia . After his father’s death the brothers n sisters took hold of all property n didn’t give him a single penny . Now should my father meet them and keep relation ship with them , although they hurt us by depriving us of our share in property . Pls explain in detail.

ANSWER: They are sinful and will be held accountable by Allah for this unless they repent however, your father is not allowed to break his ties with them because of this. My brother isn’t talking to me my sisters n my parents because we advice him abt his wife bad behavious(always sleeping not looking after their child not cooking feeding her). He said he will protect her as she is his wife n stopped talking to us.They r having different celebrations at home but we aren’t been invited. My parents n we feel sad and when we try to advice he shouts at us for his wife. Now we have stopped talking to him because we don’t won’t any fight. What ur advice abt this?

I have parents who follow religion but Treat their own children unfairly. As Allah is my witness, despite of having a difficult childhood, I forgave my parents because they have rights on me. I tried to be there for them to the best of my capabilities but I feel that my other siblings always get more attention & love than me. There’s no talking to my parents about how I feel i tried but no use.

ANSWER: Try to serve them a lot and show your affection to gain their love. Continue to be dutiful towards them while anticipating your reward from Allah alone. Do what you do for the sake of Allah and don’t await for reward or recognition from anyone and Allah will reward you immensely.

This question was by my friend and I too have doubts about this. Can one use their siblings items without informing. Like Clothes, bags which usually keep in moms house.

ANSWER: This is permissible if they have an open permission from the sibling to do this.

Since I was young I used to see my mum getting abused from her older son happened many times years. can’t look at my brothers face I can’t even seat next to him, I try forgiving him. Can I keep distance from this person I tried so much but the hate doesn’t go from my heart Allah got him know his losing it and yet he still hasn’t changed even tried stoping us going Hajj but he failed

ANSWER: Yes you can keep a distance between you and him but must not sever kinship.

My parents are forcing me to celebrate mawlid everyday and is asking me to recite a durood which contains shirk. I refused but my mother is emotionally blackmailing me and cursing me and telling me you must obey me or else you will be sinful. She is scared that I have become Mujahid (sect in India). What should I do?

ANSWER: You should not obey her or anyone else in disobeying Allah. You should still show respect and obey her in every worldly thing that is halal but you must never obey her in these innovations or anything that goes against the correct Islam, no matter what.

I would just like to ask regarding the dayooth. i am the youngest in my family and my sisters are all married and they do not wear hijab. One of them says that she cannot wear it in this day and age becuase of society and i cannot physically force her to do so. she rejects it. will i be sinful for this and they are all married it is my responsibility or their husbands?

ANSWER: Now that they are married, it is their husband’s responsibility. You can only advice them.

My friend tells me about my husband’s friends gathering where even girls are present who are supposedly his old friends too and then she advices me to share this with my parents to make them aware of his such outings. What should I do in this condition?

I advise you to ignore what your friend said, and do your best to fulfill your husband desires, and keep reminding him with Allah. This friend might want you to disrupt the relationship with your husband for her evil intentions. Don’t listen nor believe her as she might be a full fledged liar.

Sheik, pls answer my question. My husband and my sister are getting closer, like whenever we gather in the dining room they are the last one to set their talking alot of things. What alarms me more is that my husband recently came from a trip and got us both a present which is exact the same. Is this normal? What is the ruling about this in islam.

My father wants to divide some property in 5 people (2 sons, 2 daughters and a wife) in 5 parts so that everyone gets 20%. All the sons and daughters are married with their own kids. What is Islamic ruling on giving high value gifts among family while living.

It is permissible to give the boys and girls equal gifts while he is alive. It must be transferred and registered in their names while he is alive.
