If i invest in a company who deals in riba for eg i invest 5,000 and after sometime when i remove it,it becomes 30,000 and out of that 30,000, 4000 is riba so can we give the riba in charity and keep the rest of the money

Is it permissible to meditate? I want to do it to quite down my mind – I won’t do it identical to the buddhist rituals by chanting and using their posture etc, but I just want to follow the concept and some of their techniques. is it permissible?

ANSWER: There’s no concept of meditation in Islam. Even while praying, we are required to keep our eyes open and pray with full concentration unlike meditation where people close their eyes and meditate in such a way that they are not even aware of their surroundings and go into a trance.

Someone asked me if she can borrow from a money that someone entrusted her. With the intention of course to pay it back as soon as she gets a money on her own like her salary. Is it allowed Sheikh or not?

My question is when attending an interview if the HR Manager of that company is female and I need to shake hands with her .. so it is permissible for me to shake hands in that situation. Because if I refuse to shake hands she might reject me from giving a Job.

ANSWER: This is not permissible. From the entrance of the room, stand back and nod while putting your hands on your chest. She will understand. Even if she doesn’t, simply tell her that you are not allowed to shake hands in Islam with the opposite gender.

ANSWER: I suspect that no one on earth knows the meaning or the origin of it! Using brands such as Nike, Hermès, Apollo, Zeus, Nemesis , Iris etc is permissible as people do not relate it to any gods and neither they believe in it. However, if you are in doubt, you should refrain.

Shaykh is it permissible for a three women to travel without a mahram to a city that is 1 hour away and around 93 kilometres give or take?

ANSWER: It is not permissible for women to travel without their male mahram even if it’s in a company. Each female must have her male mahram accompanying her because Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam said a woman who believes in Allah and the day of judgment must not travel without her mahram.

ANSWER: He must stay to prevent the khulwah and keep advising her against what she’s doing. Her husband must take necessary action and also her sister should prevent this.
