QUESTION: Shiekh, My father want to me to do all his bank works as he didnt have much time , He tell me to do a fixed deposit of xyz amount , invest in Sip, ppf etc. I tell him so many times that dealing in riba is like engaging in war with Allah but he ignores me what to do should i listen to him?

ANSWER: You must not obey him in this regard as there is no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of displeasing and disobedience to Allah. Try to be diplomatic and explain to him that you love him and you would do anything for him but you can’t disobey Allah.

QUESTION: Sheikh…can a female teacher teach the male students of 8th 9th and 10th. The teacher is 26 years old and abides by the hijab as well as niqab.

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and its riba, one of the major sins in Islam. You must be part of both profit and loss. You can get a fixed percentage on the capital you invested and not a fixed amount.

QUESTION: My husband wants to celebrate new year with his non-muslim friends group that do all sorts of bad habits such as alcohol, drugs etc. My husband he prays 5x a day and fasts and does not consume alcohol. QUESTION: I’m very much addicted in listening to Urdu naats of a beautiful famous teenage boy. His name is Ghulam Mustafa Qadri. I suspect he is from the berelvi sect. But i skip/avoid those parts of naats when i smell shirk. Like chanting ya rasullah. Is it shirk? And will i commit kufr if i just listen not saying in mouth.

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to listen to nasheeds from such sufi barelvi people as they would contain shirk. Even without shrik, it corrupts the heart and hardens it and one would prefer listening to it than listening to the Quran.

QUESTION: If I designed my finger and hand palm with male mehendi designer. Then Am I sinful for that?

QUESTION: I’m being invited to a mehndi function where there is going to be segregation between men and women. There is going to be no music in the men’s section. ANSWER: When a person invests in a company, he is a partner in it. Therefore, if they deposit money in a bank and take interests or finance their projects by borrowing from interest based banks, this is not permissible and one must not invest in such companies.

QUESTION: I’m a student of Bachelors in Islamic Studies and about 4 days ago my teacher said during lecture that those who will abstain from music, Allah and our prophet ﷺ and other prophets would recite Quran for them and later searched and sent her a link from islamqa.info but she didn’t replied and today in class she said we can say this because we have to call them to right path.
