I argue with one of my senior university brother about halal/haram profit.but i failed.we study abroad.He’s own brother send money to him for buy some products from the manufacture.he buy products and take little amount of profit for himself(senior brother).(15% from his own brother profit).hi’s own brother don’t know.he says he waste time for going other cities and etc. Q:Is it haram or halal?

ANSWER: This is totally haram and betrayal of his trust. If his brother knew about this, he might never speak with him. If he requires a profit for his time and effort, he must ask for it before hand and if he agrees, so be it.

As a laboratory technician in a hospital, I used to help my family to do analysis without my bosses being aware. But I would like to know if this is prohibited in Islam?

ANSWER: If you’re an Indian then of course it is permissible to live there as not all Indian Muslims or all the Muslims living in non muslim countries can migrate to Muslim countries as this is not possible at all.

ANSWER: No problem in halal earnings as long as he’s not making earning his sole goal in life and he’s fulfilling his islamic obligations on time and paying his due zakat.

ANSWER: If they possess the car before you commit to buying it and then you have the choice to buy or decline, this is permissible in sha Allah, though I doubt that they would buy the car without making you first sign papers to commit to buying it from them and this is not permissible.

Can a pilgrim stay in Masjid ul Haram after doing Tawaf Veda for Salat or some other acts of worship. Can he come back in Haram for Salat etc, please guide.

ANSWER: A woman can work but under the condition that the place should be segregated, the job must be halal, she must observe the proper Islamic hijab and most importantly her Wali must give her permission for this.

Sheikh! What’s ur opinion on hanging the frames which have “Allah”, “Allah’s beautiful names”, “Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)”, “Masha Allah”, “Assalamu alaikum” and such things written on them? Is it permissible to hang such kinda frames as decorations?

ANSWER: Allah’s name is not for decorative purposes!

I sell my old gold for $600 but I don’t accept the money (the shop hold the cash), then I buy new gold for the price $650. So I sell it first then I buy new one (no reduce price). The different here is I don’t hold the cash but the shop has it. But we count for the selling and buying price. Is this method is riba? And if yes how do I repent? What should I do with the gold?

ANSWER: This is riba and it is not permissible as you must cash the money and take it from them on the spot and not leave it with the shop that bought the gold from you.

We are starting catering services for parties.Can we deliver food at birthdays, anniversaries,festivals like christmas,diwali,etc or muslim bidat festival like muharram, meelad, etc. Can general food like Dinner(main course with dessert) be sent there ? We also do baking. Can cakes be sent at birthdays and marriage anniversaries and shop/business anniversaries.
