QUESTION: In marriage, does the husband’s role as head of the household mean he can expect his wife to follow or impose his personal preferences in small daily matters such as food, tea, or type of bread, on the basis that she is expected to adapt to the customs and routines of the in-laws’ household rather than maintaining her own preferences or those she was raised with?

ANSWER: In Islam, she is not obliged to adapt to the customs and routines of her in-laws and may maintain her own preferences. Her job in Islam is to take care of him and his children, and she may do that in any way she sees fit.

QUESTION: If a person along with Arafah also fasts the day before Arafah believing we should fast or it is sunnah or recommended is it bid’ah and prohibited?

ANSWER: No problem in fasting the days before the 9th or some of them as this is a highly recommended sunnah

QUESTION: For example if someome buys an amount of drinks for the whole month to drink but still buys other drinks during that month even though he still has the drinks he bought at the beginning of the month would he be sinful?

QUESTION: Is it considered having full khushu during salah if a non Arab fully focuses on what he’s saying during salah but has no idea the meaning behind it or is it a must in order to have full khushu you have to know the meaning of what your saying during salah

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible and still they are sinful for delaying it till this last moment!

QUESTION: Is it permissible to buy a goat just one Or two days before Eid-ul-Adha and then sacrifice it, or should the animal be kyept for a specific number of days before Qurbani? Also, if due to purchasing it shortly before Qurbani the family does not develop emotional attachment with the animal, is the Qurbani still completely valid and permissible?

ANSWER: No problem in buying it even minutes before slaughtering it!

QUESTION: Sheikh I was working out in an only women gym so I wasn’t wearing my hijab, at some point a random grown man opened the door and was about to walk in because he confused the place for something else. As soon as I saw him I hid behind a wall to block his view but he had already seen me in a tshirt, leggings and no hijab.. am i sinful

QUESTION: My uncle lives in canada with his one wife and 3 daughters. This year he and his wife came to hajj leaving their adult daughters alone without any gurdian. My question is is it ok for him to left their adult daughters(eligible for marriage) alone in canada without any guardian?

QUESTION: In times when I wasn’t aware and due to lack of knowledge I borrowed UK student finance when I was teenager. However, they charge really high interest. Can I take other low interest based loan to pay that off and then pay that off quickly with less interest? If I cant find Islamic loan.

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible!

QUESTION: The person deserve 1st of my respect said, it’s not permissible to sit cross-legged or ankle-on-knee, half-lotus or MOVE/SWING LEGS while sitting, DOING LIKE THAT IS ARROGANT/Imitating actors. I said it’s not in Islam. But he said, SHOW ME A HADEED PROPHET DID LIKE THIS, HE ALWAYS HUMBLED HIMSELF THINKING ABOUT ALLAH. Is it true? Should I obey?

ANSWER: 1- This is absolutely baseless. No problem in sitting cross legged. If in your culture it is regarded as disrespectful to sit cross legged in front of elders then you should not do it but this is not prohibited in islam.
