QUESTION: I read that Surah Al-Kafirun is recommended before sleep, but I did not find it mentioned in the Fortress of the Muslim app. Should we still recite it before sleeping?

ANSWER: Reciting surah kafiroon before sleeping is an authentic sunnah. One would be protected from shirk for reciting it once before sleeping.

ANSWER: It is an issue of dispute whether it is sinful or only not recommended. The companions used to beat up their young children for praying between pillars as the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam told them not to do so. One should avoid it especially when there is enough space in the masjid.

QUESTION: I applied chemical henna without knowing it may form a barrier. I did ghusl the next day and prayed, but on the 4th day I learned it might block water. I tried removing it, but some remains and is very painful to fully remove. Do I need to repeat that ghusl? Are my prayers after it valid? What should I do if it can’t be fully removed? And Should I inform others who used it or stay quiet?

ANSWER: If it is making a layer and a barrier over the skin that prevents water from reaching, you must remove it. If it can’t be removed, you must, after making ghusl or wudhu, perform tayammum for the areas missed.

ANSWER: If it has mass and you intentionally swallow it then it breaks salah, otherwise it doesn’t

QUESTION: One question from Umdatul Ahkam. As long as the label “water” stays on a liquid, it can be used for purification. So can I say that If I add some fruit-tastener like Tang or something else to make a sweet mashroob, it can still be used for purification? Right?

ANSWER: It can’t be used to perform wudhu as it is not water anymore!

QUESTION: My siblings work in a call center where they book taxis for UK citizens but sometimes the citizens want to go to the pubs so is this job totally haram ? because there is no other option if they don’t make bookings for these calls there will be risk of losing their job

ANSWER: Booking such haram trips is totally prohibited and the income from those trips is haram. Allah ordered us in the Quran to not assist or collaborate with each other in evil & sins!
