Try to please your mom but don’t displease Allah as this is more important. His advice is wrong in terms of you indulging in sins in order to please her!

At school, we refer to the teacher as “sir”. When I say it, I don’t mean any respect. I just say it to catch attention since it sounds a bit odd saying “Mr Fulan”. So, is it Kufr for me to say sir? I’m not saying it on account of his religion.

Our teacher was talking about fundraising by selling roses which students can give to the opposite sex. I said to my Arab friends, “Hada ma halal.” When she noticed us laughing, she asked me what I had said. I told her. She started mocking me and all the kuffar laughed. Have I done the correct thing or should I stop talking so much about Islam and decrease my dawah?

Continue but in a good way that don’t lead others mocking on our religion. If you laugh during her class, this is what you get in return. Respect others and you will be respected.

There is a speaker Hamza Yusuf who talked about an hadith that talk about the end of time. It said that children will be filled with anger, people with have musical instrument on their heads, rain will be burning like acid, hypocrites will rule, and the worst people will control the market places, is this authentic?

You must not listen to him as he is not reliable and his deviant belief is misleading.

Is it ok if items are put on top of the quran, not for the purpose of being disrespectful but because of certain situations. For example one puts a book on top of the quran to protect the physical book from the extremities of rain, or sitting on a hot car dash board and being warped if not protected. what about on a bedside table where there are several books piled up, is it necessary to put the quran on the top of all the others, assuming none of these books have anything haram, or rude in them?

If it were to protect it, this is permissible. To put other books on top of it, this is not permissible in normal circumstances.

I gave to a colleague with intention that he will pay me back the cost, but he did not pay me back. I shy to ask him for money. If I ask him to give me some money (equal to my one) as loan and then will not return, is this ok or not?

If he borrowed money from you, you must ask him for that money. It is possible that he thought it was a gift or forgot about it.
