There is a hadith narated by al imam ahmed in al musnad and by abu dawood, saying When you pray Fajr, then say before speaking to any of the people, ‘Allahumma ajirni min al-nar (O Allah, protect me from the Fire)’ seven times, and 7 times at maghrib . Is this an Authentic hadith ?

Two years ago my father was in India and asked a friend in saudi for a loan of 1,000,00 rs , so my father’s friend sent him 6,666 riyals accrding to the currency rate. Now the freind is asking the money back in Saudi riyals ,when my father us ready to pay in Indian rupees and the currency rate has changed, what should he do.

He must return it in the same currency he borrowed it in! If he borrowed it in Riyals, it must be returned in riyals.

In my Homeland There had been a Hindu Festival recently. On that particular day some of our muslim brothers gave Food kit (according to the festivals tradition) to poor among them. What is the ruling on it? In what Islamic criteria this action will be counted as.

Celebrating the kafir day by offering food is totally prohibited and may reach the level of nullifying a person’s Islam!

I was adopted by a Christian family in America where I am from. Per the tradition I was named by the family. Alhamdu’liEllah I am a revert to Islam and understand that it is not permitted for me to have my adopted parents surname, however, I have no idea who my biological father is. Should I address this issue and change my name, if so to what? Please advise.

Yes, you must change your name to be called after a general name such as: daughter of Abdullah.

Recently there was a stir when a pic of a a man on hajj who looked physically okay was doing tawaf standing on a segway machine with wheels..Is this permissible?

No it is not true but you can’t get the reward as prescribed in Hadeeth.

I have heard a claim that leading witr salah is an innovation and that doing congregational dua in the witr is also an innovation, is this true? What are the evidences supporting doing these practices?

i wanted to ask one question regarding fajr salah. I am currently in Dubai. Here in the mosque where i go, the Imam during the salah after first Rakaah and just before going to the sujood for the second raakah, keeps on standing and makes Dua. After That he goes to the sujood and the Salah is completed. So i wanted to ask you is this permissible in the light of Quran and Sunnah.

This is not permissible but you must follow him as he is following the shafiee school of thought.
