I want to know what is the maximum time before Maghreb upto which one can offer Asr Salaah. For example, if Maghreb starts at 6 pm and I’m not in a position to offer Asr Salaah in school, then before what time can I offer it?

There are two times for Asr; preferred time and this is from athan of Asr until the sun becomes yellow and one can look at it. The second time is a time of necessity and this is not recommended and it is from the time the sun becomes yellow till it sets!

I want to work by a muslim gynecologist, but i have to work with health insurance cards and as I know every insurance is involved with interest (In Germany everyone needs to have an insurance). I often think that maybe I will be sinning if I start working there with these cards, because I could also keep on looking for another job, is this right or can I start working there?

This sin is on the holder of the card and not on the medical staff. They are doing a service and it is not their sin where the people pay them from!

I recently lost my grandfather, and his wife, who happens to be my step grandmother is observing her iddah period. So in reference to this scenario I want to ask that will my grandfather’s daughter’s son i.e. her step grandson be a mahram to her.

I came across this online, but it does not mention the narrator or the source. What is the classification of this hadith? Is it saheeh or hasan, and in which hadith book is it? “It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother in his time of need than I stay secluded in the mosque for a month.”

This is authentic.

One of my closest family members (that live with me) are astray. She is much older than me and she sits by herself a lot and rarely talks to me. I try to have good manners but I feel like she doesn’t like me. I tried giving her Islamic advice but it’s just ignored. My dad gives advice to her to but it doesn’t work. Most of the time, I don’t find the good time to give her advice, because she’s busy with school, friends, or using her phone. How can I revive my relationship with her and convince her to turn back to Allah? The main reason I want to save her from Hell is because I am afraid Allah will punish me for not giving correct Da’wah.

It can be that your level of Iman is dropping and that you need to revive it by reading more Quran and learning your religion well. Try to surround yourself with practicing Muslims 24/7 and to stay away from haram things such as movies and music as these things harden the heart.

Is it halal to invest in a stock of a telecom/pharma/textile etc. company, which possess normal bank loans and pay interest to banks? Is it halal to invest in Islamic bank Bangladesh stocks or bonds, where they are claiming themselves as fully shariah compliant but we actually don’t know their situation?

If the loans exceed 30% of their financing, it is not permissible to buy their stocks. If you don’t know whether it is shariah complaint or not, you shouldn’t buy them.

My mum wants to offer Qurbani abroad for her deceased parents in sha Allah. Can she give one Qurbani for both her mum and dad or does it have to be one for each parent?

What is the ruling regarding sending salutation upon the Prophet (saw) when the khateeb says ‘Muhammad (saw)’ during the Friday khutbah? Should I say it aloud too as I would normally or should I remain quiet and say it in my heart?
