I’m a normal happy person with nothing to lose, since Allah has blessed me with so much. However, at times in my life I made the mistake of developing close relationships with depressed people. This as result got me into trouble since I unknowingly got involved in their problems.Now I always stay away from them. Would this be a sign of arrogance?

Its not a sin, if those people are not your kins. However, it would have been more rewarding if you would have helped them to come out of their depression by advising and guiding them.

What is the ruling on upholding the ties of kinship with people who force you to commit sins, ridicule you if you object, and were/are disrespectful to one’s father/mother?

You minimize contact with them to the absolute minimum if they are harming you or your family in any way. However, in any condition, you cannot cut off. maybe calling upon them once in awhile to check upon them or greeting on occasions or in times of their need suffices.

Wanted to ask if it is permissable to work for a company who build software for the pension and wealth management market as a computer programmer? Also I’m concerned about my current job as one of the big customers is a bank and we provide software to help market their products. Any advice and guidance would help in sha Allah.

my in laws hate me bc my husband treats me well. We all live together. My mom/sis in law has been through my things and told my father in law lies about me. I reside in Saudi fr past four years n I am interested to buy a new car from Abdul lateef jameel agency as lease to own scheme. Please kindly advise if its halal or haraam to enter into that contract. They are showing tat it’s shariah board approved but I have doubt about that scheme. I personally believe that this is not permissible.

we have a Qur’an from the Ahmadiyya Jamaat. I know they’re wrong. I did not go through it completely but i noticed that there are some diffrences, e.g. the first ayah in surah no. 3 is the Basmalah and not Alif Lam Mim, and the same with surah no. 3. And in the introduction they say that there is no place for a eternal condemnation in islam. Should we keep it or not?
