This is totally wrong.
The Rakah they prayed with the Imam was their first. After the prayer
was over, they must stand for their second and third Rakah. This means
they must sit in their second Rakah for tashahud and finally in their
third Rakah.

sheikh I would like to know if I’m praying maghrib and I’m getting the last raka’ah(ie 3rd raka’at) with jama’at i notice many of the do not sit for tashahud for theit second raka’at is this the way. But the get tashahud two times. Pls enlighten .

My grandfather never prayed, nor did he used to fast. My father tries to feed people on his behalf for the fasts he missed every ramadan. But prayer cannot be offered on his behalf. Is there any chance for him to go to Jannah? My grandmother also had a dream of him where he was in severe agony.
