Is it then just fine if I am able to wear them (for eg, an event) and that I ensure not to use the bathroom with it? I have a few necklaces bearing allah’s name which I will stop using. Or ill wear them and take it off before using the toilet if thats ok? Does the same apply to muhammad (swt) name? I have a bracelet which has all muhammad (swt) attribute names gifted by my grand mother.

What is the ruling with regards to wearing necklaces bearing Allah/Muhammad (swt) names or ayatul kursi/surahs. Is it permissible to wear those, and not with the belief that these will protect me from evil eyes whatsoever. It is just that I am fond of them.

As for Allah’s name this is not permissible as you have to go to the bathroom and it is not permissible to enter toilet while you are wearing it. As for ayatul Kursy; this is not permissible as most of the people believe that this is a protection which is not.

Show him that you are shocked of his statement because firstly you are a Muslim and he knows that you pray only to Allah and secondly because asking someone to pray to other than Allah and approving it nullifies his Islam.
