ANSWER: Loving, hoping from and fearing anyone more than Allah is shirk. However, no Muslim would ever do that.

My husband is going to start a business in ……. by taking loan from a bank involving interest. ANSWER: If your savings reach the nisab and if one whole lunar year passes over it then you’re eligible for zakat, whether you live with your parents or alone.

Working in a non Islamic country and you are the boss in a government organisation and your subordinates(christians) are going in for riba based loan and the bank needs you the boss endorsement of their loan forms, how do you the boss handle such a case, now that it is against your religion.

ANSWER: Zakat is owed on all the gold you possess if it reaches the nisab (85 grams) whether it is a gift or even if it is gold that you use. There is no zakat on the flat if it’s not being displayed for sale.
