My cousin brother is getting married next month In Sha Allah. They have separate arrangements for men and women. But sometimes men do enter women’s section to serve the food and stuff. Sheikh I dont want to remove my abhaya and niqab but my mother wants me to wear a long colourful dress with hijab but not niqab. Can i disobey her in this matter and wear niqab?

Is it permissible to make dua in the end of our fard salah when offered in congregation(jamaat) this only delays saying of salam to both sides by 1-2 minutes after imam said salam(to conclude prayer)

ANSWER: One minute is a lot! You can delay it for 20 or 30 seconds but not for too long!

shaykh, if a person in masjid, after the completion of the prayer, sat in one corner and recited quran, a guy whom he is selling his home, came greeted & talked to him whilst he was holding the closed mushaf in hand. suddenly the buyer started to speak to him about flat price after greeting, After speaking to the buyer , he realized what he does is wrong, he came to know about a hadith forbidding buying & selling in masjid.. has he done a major sin?

ANSWER: If they sell and buy in the masjid then this is sinful, but if they just talked about the property without mentioning selling or buying it, then this seems permissible.

Sheikh,there’s grand annual dinner of myuniversity,which is not segregated and have music 2,my sister is going as she wanted but i donot want to go,my mum is forcing me to go so that my sister will not be alone cause the event will over at night so it’ll be difficult for her to travel alone @ night,how should i convience my mum and sister that i don’t want to go

ANSWER: You must not listen to her in this regard as there’s no obedience to the created at the cost of disobeying the Creator. Explain in the most respectful manner to her that you cannot attend and that she should not allow your sister to attend as well.

Sheikh whenever I tell my relatives or friends that cigarette is haraam because it causes cancer and Allah prohibits things which harm us they reply that even sugar causes diabetes so that would also be prohibited according to this logic, please tell me how to reply them?

My Mother put her house for sale on january 2018 and sold the house on February 2018 and kept the money. She now lives with me. She pays her regular zakah every Ramadan. So my question is: does she pay the zakah on the money she got from her house this Ramadan or the next year´s Ramadan?
