In Bangladesh,magrib adhan is given 5 minutes after sunset. if I eat iftar accoring to Internet timing of sunset that is before adhan,would it be right?

ANSWER: If you can see the sunset visually, you may break your fast. But if you can’t, you should depend on the athan as this is the masjid’s responsibility, unless you are certain that they too are depending on apps. In this case, follow Umm Al Qura timetable.

Sheikh do we have to fast 6 days of Shawal continuously or we can fill them alternatively?

ANSWER: You can fast them whenever you want, during the whole month, no need for them to be continuous.

sheikh, In my Uni there is a prayer room where students pray multiple jamats. Is this permissible? and if i start say dhuhr salah on my own and after 1/2 rakats i see people gathering for jamat should i break my salah and start over with the congregation?

ANSWER: 1. No problem in forming more than one jamah, if there’s a need. 2. Change it into voluntary and finish it quickly in order to join them.

I have a friend. She was very good . But now a days she behaves very weird. I discussed about it with some of my friends they said these all are consequences of black magic. Will it be a sin if I go to another sheikh to get rid of it? Besides if it really the consequences of black magic then what should i do in the way of ISLAM please sheikh Help me in this.

ANSWER: These sheikhs are either genuine sheiks who recite the Quran and ruqya and they must have the patient present in front of them or they are soothsayers who deal with Jinn and black magic. Going to such people nullifies islam if one believes them. Going to the first type is permissible.

During a congregation, if a man was reciting al-Fatihah and before finishing it, the imam bowed but he continued reciting. Should he finish reciting and follow the imam thereafter or stop reciting and bow with the imam? Is his prayer invalid and does he need to repeat his prayer?

ANSWER: If this was a loud rakah, you can immediately join the imam in ruku but if this was a silent rakah or prayer, you must quickly finish fateha and then join the imam because reciting fateha in silent rakahs and prayers is a must for everyone.

Is it permissible to brush teeth with toothpaste during fast? As we don’t ingest it just gargle and spit.

ANSWER: No problem, as long as you don’t swallow it.

If i dont have shampoo but I wet my hair thoroughly with water, is my ghusl still valid even if my hair has its natural grease on it (not an applied oil.) I have oferred many salah in this way and I am worried.

ANSWER: It is valid, in Sha Allah. Shampoo was never part of ghusul.

I am living in a joint family.My whole family wants me to get married with one of my cousins except my mother and sisters.I don’t have any problem marrying with my cousin either.My mother and sister don’t want me to marry my cousin because they think that she is not capable of doing many things however she is an aalim and also hv great fikr for deen.Problem with me is that if I decline marriage offer the entire family will get divided and if I accept,my mother will get sad.

ANSWER: This is your life, but I advise you not to marry her if your mother doesn’t like her, as this will cause many problems in the future, unless you live separately from your family! Your mother and sister want a servant to serve them in the house!

My question is that i am unable to go to mosque for taraweeh so can i hold my cell phone during the taraweeh prayer and recite quran from it while praying.
