For someone living in the west, even if they lower gaze but how can they do so in a class where the teacher is either a women or students sitting in sitting in front where someone has to look in order to pay attention to the board or teacher.

Is it okay to perform tawaaf while the imam continues with taraweeh after isha prayet in masjid al haram..? Can i perform tawaaf and not read taraweeh after isha prayer?

ANSWER: No problem in this as Taraweeh is not Mandatory. However, one would be losing a great deal of reward as he can perform Tawaf afterwards while Taraweeh can’t be prayed with the Imam except this time!

Sir in India we have booklets for each juzz with bigger font for ease of recitation. Some people recite from these books and some recite from mushaf. So when reciting from these booklets of a juzz is wudu compulsory?

ANSWER: Yes, as this has only Arabic text and it’s considered to be Qur’an.

In a hadith Qudsi the prophet said at alhudaibiya it rained that day and Allah said one became a believer and one became a disbeliever cos 1 said the rain was a virtue and mercy of Allah while the other said it rained cos of such such a star so shall we believe in weather forecast for tomorrow and the next day?

ANSWER: No problem as the weather forecast uses calculations and pictures from the satellite to determine what the weather could be like and this is not the same as fortune telling.

There are people who agree to split the reading of the Quran among themselves so that each of them reads certain ayahs/suras and in this way they will cover all of the Quran in a day. Is this action permissible or it is an innovation?

As follow up Question According to my wife his brother my in-law is paying Zakat yearly what ever he is possess including our money with him. (We are in Abroad) Q:Can he pay Zakat on our behalf? its permissible? are we liable on it?

ANSWER: He must not give zakat without your authorization and prior consent. Otherwise, you have to pay it again and he has to give the money back from his own pocket.

My question is that when we go to the washroom for answering the call of nature and also we have to do Wudu should we say BISMILLAH before entering once or after answering the call of nature we have to come out and then say BISMILLAH again and say the dua of entering the bathroom?

ANSWER: You should say it before making wudu, in your heart, no need to come out of the washroom for this.

Is it true that the child that aborted will come in front when one entering jannah and that child will block the way as he was killed illegally? what is punishment in hell for abortion?

ANSWER: This is not authentic, and it is not reported in sunnah the way of punishment in the hereafter.

My cousin lives in Norway where the fajr time is around 2:30am and magrib 10:00pm. The saum is almost 20hrs. In such extremity can he follow saudia time for fasting? If not, please advice any alternative.

ANSWER: Allah made fasting related to day and night. Once the Fajr breaks, he must fast until the sun sets. How can he follow Saudi Arabia and break his fast while the sun is visible? Can he pray Maghreb then?

He was on his way in his uncles car when he spotted a Muslim with moustaches.How should he tell him this is wrong etc.What should he have done in such a situation.He also sees many Muslims like these in THE streets when he goes to malls,school etc.What SHOULD he have done,and note he his with his family and SOMETIMES strangers like his teacher.

ANSWER: One can’t go around policing people and telling them to do this and not do that. This is not possible. However, one must do his level best in advising others and giving the best example by his own conduct.
