ANSWER: Zakat must be given to poor and needy Muslims, and one must not give zakat to his parents or children or those whom he might inherit. Other than that, it is permissible to give poor relatives.

sheikh…..is it permissible to eat chicken n mutton of muslim brands like sadia n alameen which export their meat in bulk to other countries because i have heard people saying that when they r exporting in bulk they dont follow the halal rules of slaughtering is it also pernissible to eat chicken nuggets n sausages of muslim brands like sadia n alameen because i have heard people saying weird things like they grind the complete hen n lamb for making sausages

ANSWER: As long as it is written “halal” on these products, then no problem in consuming them.

Is sujood the best position during Salat to supplicate and make dua and ask for individual wants & forgiveness? Can I recite the 99 names of Aallah swt and other Dua from the Qur’an when in Sujood and make dua in my own language. Please advice. Shukran_

ANSWER: In sujud the sunnah is to make duaa, you can use the names of Allah to make a Duaa, eg, to say”ya shafi ishfini”, but to recite the Names without making duaa, this is not permissible. There is no problem to make a duaa from a Qur’anic verse. https://youtu.be/hYToZVeAl20

In eid prayer what do we recite in the first rakaa in between the 7 takbeer n the 2nd rakaa in between the 5 takbeer. I was told that we have to recite the 1st part of the 3rd Kaleema.

Shaykh can imam give khutbah on the night of laylatul qadr after taweeh prayer .in our area the imaams after taraweeh give sermon for about 45 mins and then we pray witr. Is it from the sunnah?

Somebody has asked , There is a man , he has loan to pay , his son is earning . So can I as an outsider pay my zakat money to this man who is in debt so as to lighten his burden of debt.

ANSWER: Most Muslims have loans of their cars, houses, new furniture etc. Not every loan is eligible for zakat. Only when a person is in trouble with the debtors due to a losing business or he lost his fortune due to an accident or he is threatened to go to jail for it.

I read the hadith of Ubay ibn Ka’b (r.a) about sending blessings upon Rasoolullah a great deal, and Rasoolullah said that all his concerns will be taken care of. So can I replace my du’as in sujood in prayers with sending blessings upon Rasoolullah? I had started saying 3 times Allahumma salli wa sallim ala nabiyyuna Muhammad and then saying Astaghfar 3 times (in sajdah).

ANSWER: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي “Allahoma innaka afu’won tuhibul ala’fwa fa’afu anni”. (“Oh Allah, you are forgiving and love forgiving, so forgive me”.)

Is it a biddah as the one person makes dua loudly at the end of dawrah Quran?
