my qs is related to the 40 days after giving birth which here in my country is called (chillah) what religious practice should the mother do in those days ? And how true is it about not leaving the baby and the mother alone because negative forces are all around , about covering mothers head , putting some metal tool in baby’s crib and so on ?

ANSWER: This is the way the prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam had prayed them. If one prays them loudly, this is permissible but against the sunnah.

My maternal grandfather who is 95 years old doesn’t offer Salah anymore.its been almost 1.5 years. He has always prayed all his Salah including tahajjud all his life but now he just ignores the call to prayer even after reminding. He is weak, prostate problems and weak memory. What can we do so that his last days are his best days.

ANSWER: His children and grandchildren must keep reminding him with wisdom, good manners and knowledge. However, if his memory has totally deteriorated and he is classified as insane and cannot differentiate between day and night then he’s not accountable and it doesn’t matter if he does not pray.

Im a girl in a muslim uni and its mixed. Often i see my friends interacting with guys and hanging out and also having soo much fun.honestly i feel very lame because i only keep a few female friends.
