A newly married couple where the girl prays all salah but the boy is not into praying salah. When girl wants to get up for fajr prayer and have ghusul husband stops and says to be with him in bed. Should she obey him?!How should she make him understand? Or for some time she listens to him An then shows him the importance. How should she go about?

ANSWER: It is her mistake in the first place to accept someone like him in marriage who has little interest in Prayers! I found 1 or 2 religiuos bride for marriage whose family are poor even I also.my mother ask their family for huge dowry.I remembered my mother that according sunnah poor can be married without spending a penny.as of my current status I wish I could do that.but my mother gets angry & answered do marriage by yourself.besides I am getting older in age. what can I do?

ANSWER: You must not listen to her in this regard at all. You can get married in a most humble way and you must not take even a penny from your bride as this is not part of Islam whatsoever, in fact it is you who has to give her dowry(Mahr)

It’s been 2 years of marriage with baby girl. Me & hubby have fight a lot due to difference in understanding level. I think he is always in complex from my family because in status I am higher. He is reserved for his family that I can’t even complain abt his family. ANSWER: She must warn in advance that they must not click pictures. She must not allow anyone to take her photos and if needed, she must not come out in front of such people.

My male friends compel their wives 2 work 4 money cuz its hard 2 live a decent life in west;but they still expect their wives2 do all housework &obey them.I tell them Allah made room 4 for this economicreality by making obedience 2 husband contingent on him maintaining her (4:34)&that Imams Shafii&Hanbali said a wife isn’t even obligated 2 do housework, so the husband should help out.Am I correct?

Sheikh I have been married for 23 years and in all these years my husband is a habitual liar and because of his habit and asking loan from every family member they all have cut their ties with him. He take handsome amounts of loan from banks and to pay them off he have sold all my jewelry and even after the death of my mother he sold herjewelry which come in my share.

ANSWER: What is your question? He has no right over your jewelry and you should keep it safe from him. You are not responsible for his debts. You are allowed to seek khula from such a man who does not provide for you or your children.

ANSWER: If you mean to say talking before marriage then it is not permissible as you both are still non mahram to each other.

My parents are looking for a suitable spouse for me; And in the process, they’re asking me to shorten my beard and to grow it back after marriage. They want me to appear as if I’m a moderate Muslim (i.e. watch movies and partake in free mixing) so that my would-be spouse likes me. But I hate to do this as it’s sinful. Please advise how I can convince them.

ANSWER: You must not listen to your parents in this regard whatsoever! If you pretend these things then you will end up with a woman who is like that and a non practicing Muslim and you would regret it for the rest of your marriage.

My Muslim (but distanced from faith) husband insists that we and our two kids attend a party which involves men and women drinking alcohol. I wear the hijab and would feel awkward about being in such a crowd. How do I avoid this situation? Refusing him is yet another reason for him to hate and divorce me.
