Recently I got a proposal from a boy. He has good character, namazi & has a decent job. My family was very happy with proposal. But we came to know that they are involved in shirk. So had to reject the proposal. My relatives weren’t happy with this decision. Sometime later I developed feelings for him. I have never talked with him. He is engaged now. I shouldn’t feel like this. Please advice me

I don’t have a relationship with my father and i have no other male relatives besides my younger brother. When i am getting to know someone for marriage would it be ok with just my mum being there acting as a wali or could my younger brother be there. He is 4 years younger than me but he has passed the age of puberty.

ANSWER: It’s not permissible at all for your mother to sit there as she’s a non mahram to the guy and a woman cannot be a wali! Your brother must sit there after you get your father’s consent to do so. It is not acceptable not to have relationships with your father.

When a man goes to see a woman for marraige, is he allowed to ask about woman’s past or can woman ask about man’s past?

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited.

Is it permissible to have more than one meeting with the potential suitor like 2/3/4 (in front of the male mahram)? What is maximum number ? If it is just one meeting that is permissible then how much lengthy at maximum can the meeting be (i mean permissible) ? Like how many hours?

ANSWER: Only one meeting is permissible. The essence of the meeting is to look at one another to see if there is mutual liking or not. This happens in the 1st meeting only.

My husbnd is not replyng to WhatsApp msgs since Eid (anthr country). My 5 yr son asks 4 video call wd him. I called n he didn’t pickup. He didn’t ask again. Is there a rule/permission in Islam where the parents can have their son/daughter get talaq done? My husband doesn’t like me to have hobbies. He allowed me gardening 2 hours a day, but even so he reproaches me for that, as he says house in not tidy enough for his likings. He demands ideal house, everything even in drawers arranged in perfect way, as he is perfectionist. And I am not, I keep house clean, but not ideal. About Divorce and second marriage: Sheikh, If a man love a woman and wanted to marry her but his parents not allowed him to get marry to that woman and forced him to get marry with other woman.
