Marrying a divorced woman is sunnah. So Marrying a divorced man will be sunnah as well? If someone is single/unmarried and marrying a divorced man.

ANSWER: No one has ever said that marrying a divorced woman is a sunnah!

I got to know an arab man and he is interested in marrying me and so am I. His family proposed for me in a very respectful way, and are willing to cooperate in all ways for my family to accept. Butmy father is making it difficult saying that I must marry a paki.And he says Allah will not question him for refusing here as prophet muhammad(saw)married fatima to Ali so family is preferd.Please advice

ANSWER: You must obey your father as you can’t marry without his permission. If he has rejected many good proposals before like this man, you can complain to the Muslim court and they will assign someone else to be your guardian.

My question is about The Hadith of the food of Walima in which the rich is invited and poor are not invited. What do we mean by poor, poor relatives or poor people in general.

ANSWER: Both! Ones who people are not usually proud to invite and feel ashamed or embarrassed when they come.

It’s very common in desi community to reject a girl or boy based on their color and mock them. Also parents and relatives criticize a child’s dark skin tone and comparing it to a buffalo’s or a crow’s. Is this sinful and is there any punishment for this?

ANSWER: This is definitely sinful as this is racist! Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said that there is no superiority of a white person over a black and vice versa except through piety.

I’ve seen people to sign their wedding contracts or do nikah in masjids where the imam and other Muslimeen sit and pray for the newly wed. Is this from the sunnah? If it’s not a sunnah and if there’s nothing mentioned about it in the sunnah, where would you recommend us to sign our wedding contracts or do nikah?

ANSWER: This is not from the sunnah but it is permissible. Nikah can be done anywhere, there’s no prescribed place for this. It must be segregated and women must not mix with men and there must be no music.

I recently got married and we had a son. My parents had a fight with my wife and now she doesn’t live with us anymore. My parents won’t let me see any of them. I didn’t even give her a chance to explain herself. What should I do? I can’t disobey my parents.

ANSWER: This is totally wrong and not permissible! They have no right or say whatsoever in asking you to divorce your wife!

ANSWER: These things can happen even after getting married while they were very good before marriage. The parents should investigate to the best of their ability and leave the rest to Allah and have firm belief in Him.
