QUESTION: Is it true that after marriage couples have to be physically involved within 3 days otherwise the marriage will be invalid?

ANSWER: This is not true at all. Even if they were not physical for 10 years, this has no impact on their marriage

QUESTION: I married 5 months ago & currently can’t provide for my wife, but will soon provide inshaAllah. My wife works in private school & doesn’t wear hijab. Although I can’t provide her right now can i still force her to wear hijab, avoiding free-mixing, pray 5 times, etc? I’ve been forcing her, but it’s making things worse—what should I do sheikh ?

ANSWER: You cannot force her to do any of this while she is still in her father‘s home and this is the result of marrying a non-practicing woman. You must give her an ultimatum to abide by the proper hijab or threaten divorce

QUESTION: I’m newly married and my wife is a good practicing Muslim but she doesn’t do hijab when going out however she put scarf on her head. She thinks hijab will make her look very odd. I’ve tried several times to convince her for hijab but in vain. I don’t want to be harsh on her but I silently pray Allah SWT to give her hidayah. Am i dayooth if i Don’t be strict on her?

ANSWER: Yes, you must not allow her to leave the house while not abiding by the proper hijab. If she doesn’t want to comply regardless of all your advice and effort, you can consider giving her an ultimatum before divorcing her as this is a make it or break it issue.

QUESTION: I have a question regarding the etiquette of lowering the gaze. If a man is married but also open to the possibility of marrying another wife, is he still required to lower his gaze in public settings, or is there a different ruling in such a case?

QUESTION: I found out from my husband’s mobile that he is in contact with other women.He asks them for their location and requests inappropriate pictures.When I confronted him, he said he hasn’t committed adultery. However, from the chats, it seems that he has actually met up with them.We have a 1.5 year old daughter & we’ve been married for 2.5 years.What should I do?

ANSWER: If he is not remorseful and doesn’t commit to stopping such inappropriate acts and you feel that he is not someone to be trusted or to feel safe with, you can demand marriage therapy or threaten him to involve his parents to get a commitment out of him

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited! Your intention should be to marry to live with the spouse for good! This is not a test drive!

QUESTION: I have heard that when we close door or window in the name of Allah no devil can enter.And they can see us but we cannot so do we have to curtain over window too as most of the window glass are transparent .Our apartment is on the top and people cannot peep inside .During intimate times should we curtain the window too to be protected from them?

QUESTION: We have no home.we plan to sell gold of my wife & my mom to buy a home along with few money from me and dad.My wife is willingly ready to give her mahr for this purpose.Ive not forced her although ive proposed this idea to her & she is 100% willing as home is better then having gold. Am i wrong to take it if she fully agrees to it?

ANSWER: You must either write a document stating how much gold she gave which is a debt upon you to her if you were to divorce or die or you write in the deed that she owns 20% for example of the house so that her rights won’t be wasted.

QUESTION: She’s 38. Still no suitor comes bt with demand of dowry from her dad. As it’s a norm in the subcontinent, hardly any suitor would reject such dowry. QUESTION: I wanted to ask if it is islamically permissible to get married to a man that does not believe or follow shirk or dargah practices, but his parents do.
