Shaykh, I know that it’s not permissible to work in banks . But what about companies ? because most of them ( for not to say all ) use bank loans to pay their employees and fund other activities. Is it permissible to work there even if your activity in the company is halal and has nothing to do with usury

sheikh,here in Pakistan males equal to the age of father or grandfather used to place hand over the head of non mahrams female as the sign of showing their fatherhood or for the girl being a daughter for them. During winters we apply moisturizers such as petroleum jelly over the face and hands. Do I need to clean it thoroughly with soap & water before making wudhu or is my wudhu valid with those remaining applied?

ANSWER: You don’t have to wash it off with soap before doing wudu. You simply rub the water on those areas while doing wudu to let water reach the skin.

my 13 yr old son listens to music from school & outside & then wants to listen to the same on YouTube at home. Compared 2 his peers, he selects songs with good lyrics but still they’re with music & by modern singers. I try to dissuade him Islamically but he responds saying if I don’t approve, he will continue 2 listen as he enjoys it but outside home. How 2 counsel & make him give up?
