ANSWER:

The man is sinful and answerable to Allah if he divorces without any legitimate reason. He will be held to account but not as a woman because he is the breadwinner and the woman is the weakest link that must be in need of him. If she asks for divorce without any legitimate reason , this means that she has defied her nature as a woman in need and this would cause Allah’s wrath to fall upon her. 

If a woman seeks divorce from her husband without any reason, even the fragrance of jannah will be haraam for her. What about a man divorcing his wife without any reason? Why don’t we have such tuff conditions for men?
