As we know the difference in price of gold and silver is quite big, which one should we consider as threshold for paying Zakat? Cost of 595 grams of Silver is pretty low when it is compared with 85 grams of gold. Jazakallah Khair.

ANSWER: Cost of silver is considered for paying zakat. If you have cash money that is equivalent to 595 grams of silver or more and stays with you a whole hijri year, you must give zakat on that.

ANSWER: Of course not! Believing in such predictions can nullify a person’s Islam as he is claiming to know the future! Nobody has this knowledge but Allah and claiming to know this or predicting future events is absolutely prohibited in Islam and what they claim is totally baseless.

I have played a lot of video games since I was a kid, I think I used 3000+ hours playing video games. I found out that it was a waste of time, but it is so addicting to play with friends. ANSWER: You will be questioned on the day of judgement about your youth and time and where you had spent it! You must fear Allah and stop wasting time! It is permissible to occasionally play halal video games that do not contain music or inappropriate scenes or scenarios.

After calculating my due zakat every year,can i gather this calculated zakah of 3 years in order to make it a handsome amount and give it to needy family at one time only so that this amount can serve the family a purpose to marry their daughter?

ANSWER: This is absolutely not permissible. You must give the zakat as soon as the time is due. A delay of a couple of days is ok but it’s not permissible at all what you mentioned. You can pay your zakat in advance for a year or two but not delay it!

If a Masjid is made from the money of riba and you don’t find any peace of soul while offering Namaz there, would it be better to offer Namaz at home rather than going that Masjid?

ANSWER: Of course not! If the masjid is within your vicinity, you must pray there. No problem in donating interest money to build the masjid.

I told him you can’t use logic in Islam, he told me Quran says “Do they not think” “Do they not use their intelligence” and whatever hadith goes against the Quran he will reject because he using his logic. Says Saheeh hadith are not 100 percent authentic and some other person may come and make them daef after. Reufation for this?
