I am 23 years old.I have been in a relationship with someone since 6 years.now i want to marry him & he also wants to marry me.but my mother doesn’t want me to marry with this person.And for this reason she haven’t informed my father about my relationship still now. And my mother forcefully wants me to leave the relationship.how can i convince my parents?please help me.

ANSWER: First of all you have to repent sincerely for this haram relationship, and you must stop communicating with this Guy immediately, the guy must propose to your father, if your father doesn’t agree then you can’t marry against his will.

Sheikh,we have online islamic lectures, quran recitations etc wherein there are male speakers/qaris whom the audience can see. So isnt it haram for a muslim woman to be looking at them.afraid of haram gaze, i often look away and i hear just the audio.

I know that if a man pray sitting on a chair its not allowed for him to prostrate on a pillow or a table in front of him, but if he do so is his prayer valid?

ANSWER: He is committing an innovation but the prayer is valid.

We pray tawareeh together, then we pray witr in congregation, and after witr, the imam does dua and we say ameen togther. Is the last part about dua an innovation?

ANSWER: If you are referring to Duaa with qunoot after rising from ruku, this is sunnah. But if he makes Duaa after the prayer is over, this is an innovation.

I pray 20 rakat qiyamul lail in a hanfi masjid just after isha prayer with congregation.i also pray 3 rakat of witr in congregation with them.But i wake up in last part of night to pray tahjud.Do i need to pray witr after tahjud or praying with congregation after isha is fine.?

ANSWER: Pray one witr with the imam. After that, whatever you offer, would be in pairs.

Im the only son of my parents who are aged and sick. Before marriage,i said to wife that im looking for someone who will stay with me and my parents and she agreed then. i have no other brothers, no issues of non mahram here.now she is asking for her own house, and as Im not agreeing to this, she is now looking for divorce. My question is regarding the 4 rakat Sunnah prayer of zuhr that is prayed before fard prayer. Should we pray the 4 rakats Sunnah together like the fard or should we separate them into 2 rakats by offering salam in between?

ANSWER: You should pray them separately, pray 2 conclude the prayer and then pray 2.

I used to work at a company ‘X’. I used to take 15 minutes to go get food and return back to work, however I would not register this as a lunch break. Essentially, I was getting paid when I should not have been paid during these 15 minutes Is this considered stealing? If so, how do I repent? Should I return any money? ANSWER: This is money earned unlawfully. If there is a policy or a way you return this to the company, you should do this. But if there isn’t any official way or it would put you in haram way, you must give it to poor or needy Muslims to cleanse your wealth from it.

My question is regarding zakat. One of my aunt took a loan from the bank around 12 years back for her daughter’s wedding and she’s not able to pay the loan and it’s a huge amount she has to pay and because of the interest it’s added up.They have daughters but no sons and her husband doesn’t earn that good. My question to you is if I can give zakat to them.

ANSWER: It is not permissible to give zakah to pay off interest based loans.

shaikh my question is regarding praying tahajjud prayer even after completing the tarawi with the imam, I heard some saying it is not permissible to add after tarawi and some are saying it is, pls I need more clarification.

ANSWER: This is permissible and there is no problem in praying tahajjud after that. However you must not repeat the witr if you already prayed it with taraweeh because there’s only one witr per night.
