I am living in Muslims area(my husband’s county) and here we can hear many adhans. I always start to pray the first adhan. But my family members and people here say me that I don’t have to start to pray untill every adhans finished….(there is about an hour time difference from first adhan to last adhan) Could you tell me the correct timing for my every prayers…..

ANSWER: What you’re doing is correct. What they’re saying is wrong.

I hav issue of contnious bleding since 2months.All medical examination done but there was no diagnosis. Later suggestion of frnd startd listening and reciting surah albaqrah daily so my issue resolved. But this hapens evry other month to me since last 2yrs. Now my brother has called us for umrah. I fear that If I again suffer above issue will I b able to perform umrah? Wht Is ruling in such case?

ANSWER: You can go and before assuming Ihram from the meeqat, make a condition by saying that it if I were stopped from completing my umrah, I can take off my Ihram. Your menses can’t exceed 15 days.

My nephew makes different things out of recycled stuff. He makes robots too. Is it true that making robots are Haram? As some people say that when we make these we have to give life on the day of judgement? Can you please clarify?

Shaykh my family has seen a guy fr marriage and it’s not yet confrm n they r yet to come and see me but my parents r excited over it and r telling my uncles n aunties about it.i personally feel that it’s too early n to only say when it’s confrmed.but I like to keep things private .am i allowed 2contradict my parents in this though they want 2 tell their siblings?

ANSWER: There is no problem in asking them to keep it low profile as the Prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam has advised to be secretive so that we won’t get an evil eye.

I want grow my beard as it is sunnah but my mother is not satisfied with growing beard, she wants to see trimmed(shortened beard).Now what should I do?

ANSWER: You must not listen to your parents in this regard as keeping a beard is not an option, rather it’s mandatory. However, you must be diplomatic, respectful and never raise a voice in front of them as this is a major sin. You must be firm in your approach though and not shave.

Some of my non Muslim colleagues and friends greet me with Assalamualaikum. Do I reply Wa’alaikum’Assalam?

ANSWER: No. You can only reply with: Wa’alaikum.

I went to 2 different masjids for Jumu’ah prayer previous weeks and one of the imaams -clearly- omitted the letter ﺽ in “wa laddallin”, the other one pronounced it as ظ. After the prayers I prayed zuhr thinking that these prayers were invalid, is what I did wrong? Do I have to go to another masjid even if it’s far from home?

ANSWER: If he is reciting it to the best of his ability and is only mispronouncing due to being a non-Arab, the prayer behind him is valid and it was wrong to repeat it.

Does touching one’s fleshy part of the buttuks invalidates wudu?!

My mother is a house wife she has alot of money. still i bought her a bus ticket for umrah(We live in jeddah) . but she denied she said the person must pay for her umrah if she/he capable of it. And you are my daughter so it’s not on you to pay my umrah expense except my husband or son.

ANSWER: What she said is wrong and baseless. She can accept your gift the same way as she accepts it from her husband or son. There is no difference at all.

If I catch the imam at 2nd rak’ah, which is my first rak’ah at zuhr or asr prayer, how do I sit for tashahud after my 2nd rak’ah? Because it’s imam’s third rak’ah and he’ll stand for his fourth rak’ah. Please sheikh I need brief explanation of my prayer at such situations.

ANSWER: You follow the Imam in exactly how he prays and you don’t sit in tashahud after YOUR 2nd rakah rather you sit with him after HIS 2nd rakha, HIS 4th rakah and you get up after he concluds his prayer and continue to pray and sit after your last rakah.
