Sheikh , when a person passes away here people go to their houses for condolences sit there for days and feed food ? What’s the ruling on this ? Should we go just for a few minutes without eating but here all go for days and days I don’t believe in this but can I get an answer to be 100%?

In our country (Algeria) a lot of persons suffers from bad family names given by the ****** occupation in the previous century and personally I’m intimidated with my family name,the question is can I use the name of my husband in my job (I’m a doctor) knowing that my family can’t change her name because they are not all agree.

ANSWER: It is absolutely prohibited to change from your familiy or father’s name to your husband’s name, you should be called after your father’s name and you can drop your family name if you don’t like it.

ANSWER: Alaihis salam- upon him be salaam and this is usually used with prophets and angels etc. Salamun Alaihi- salam be upon him. RadhiAllahu anhu- May Allah be pleased with him, and this is usually used for companions.

ANSWER: Reciting the Quran is different from learning the translation. You will be rewarded for reading the translation but it is nothing like reading the Arabic Qur’an.
