Is it regarded as backbiting if a member of the family like mother talking to her son about her challenges with the father if it’s affecting her health and the husband is not giving listening ears rather making her go through psychological torture. This conversation may lead to talking about evil acts about the father and how to help it out.The woman health is at stake too.

ANSWER: If this is to seek genuine guidance and advice to solve her problems then no problem, however if it’s just venting out then this is not permissible and it’s a major sin of backbiting.

My question is: after keep resisting I don’t have the possibility of blocking my mum from shaving my beard (I don’t shave it myself she does it) also she wants me to walk around with my Awrah opened. She even buys me Shorts which don’t cover my knees. Am I sinful for this if I stop resisting? She threatened me to sever the kinship with me if I do not do what she says.

I go to Masjid to learn tajweed,hifdh of Quran.Evrytme I’m into quran,my 2yr old son wants one,reads it(babbling).Then starts playing wth it(unintentionally though),which touches his feet or falls down.I keep a check on him always,hit him if I find him doing so.I’m tired of doing this now.Also helpless.Whats the ruling on children doing so?Will we be punished for such a act?
