ANSWER: No problem in the bride’s side giving a feast on the wedding day, without any pressure from the groom’s side, therefore helping them in this is not sinful, providing there is no other haram activities involved, like music, free mixing between non mahrams etc.

Sheikh, in my mother’s country, on the date of 18 Safar of every year they celebrate what they call “magal” in their language. This celebration is something related to the death of one of their pious leaders who has followed the Qur’an and Sunnah very well. They prepare for it so much than even Hajj; Is this something done in Islam or is it bidah too? Sheikh, please help as my mother’s gone too.

Shirk and its different forms

ANSWER: This is absolutely prohibited as it’s an innovation and can mount to shirk depending on their intention.

I’ve heard that reciting the last 3 ayahs of surah Hashr in congregation after Fajr prayer is an Innovation. So when people starts to recite the ayahs in congregation should stop saying my “adhkars after the fard prayers” and just listen to them because they are reciting from the Qur’an or should I continue my adhkars?

ANSWER: You should do your adkhar or leave the place as joining them in their innovation is not permissible.

Our taxes are deducted from source from our salary without my consent. I don’t opt for any investments in bank . However, I do have a salary account on which there is a quarterly interest based on the amount in my account.i talked woth some local miftis nd they said i can accept this interest as long as it is less than amount of tax deducted with niyyah that my interest is going out as tax paid

ANSWER: No. Using the Riba amount for your convenience is not permissible. Remove the amount and give it to the poor and needy.

I always hear my mom saying that if someone’s feet touches a book one should kiss it as it is a ilm and we should respect it..but now I feel like it’s kind of a shirk regarding this as this kind of things are not meant to be existent in islam as these are followed hindu.
